Unfortunately, much of what we see in broadcast news is designed to persuade rather than accurately inform the electorate. Moreover, all of the popular news outlets are owned by billionaires who have their own agenda at stake, which may not align with what is in the best interests of average citizens.

American Democracy is more than just the right to vote; it’s a system that requires active engagement, dialogue featuring divergent views, and the willingness to listen to one another and work together for the common good. Too often, we find ourselves in thought bunkers, unwilling to listen or consider an opposing view. This mentality stops meaningful progress and creates an “us versus them” mentality.
